First Annual Joey Traylor Memorial Fishing Rodeo

The New Orleans Rugby Club will host the First Annual Joey Traylor Memorial Fishing Rodeo in memory of their no. 1 fan on Sept. 1 at Sweetwater Marina, located at 6205 Delacroix Hwy. in Saint Bernard.
“This fishing rodeo is dedicated to New Orleans rugby’s biggest fan and strongest supporter, Joey Traylor. A portion of the proceeds will go to help in the fight against Spina Bifida and also to help New Orleans Rugby continue to grow and inspire others,’’ said NORFC President Jimmy Rehkopf. “Joey was a huge member of the New Orleans Area Rugby community and we want to keep it that way by remembering not only his name but also his passion and heart.’’
