LSU Rugby 50th Anniversary Celebration Oct. 22-23

The LSU Rugby Club will celebrate its 50th Anniversary Oct. 22-23 with four very special events. The celebration will be hosted by the Tiger Rugby Foundation and all events will take place in Baton Rouge.
Scheduled events include a touch tourney at 3 p.m. on Oct. 22 and a social and meal that same night at the UREC complex. Oct. 23 fun begins with an Old Boys game at 11 a.m. followed by an LSU First XV game at 1 p.m. The 50th Anniversary Gala at the L’auberge Casino Ballroom starts with 6 p.m. cocktails on Oct. 23. The evening includes dinner, a program and music.
“Please get your non-registered buddies to register,’’ said reunion organizer Francis Mayer. “They will never get to attend a thrice scheduled event again in their lifetime.’’
The Tiger Rugby Foundation provides a method for establishing tax deductible donations for the enhancement of LSU Rugby for equipment, uniforms, scholarships, D1A Playoff travel and Tiger Rugby Foundation events.
